Kristin MacDermott
Kristin, a licensed marriage and family therapist, has spent over 15 years studying and teaching resilience. Her resilience training programs have been validated in four studies (including two randomized-controlled trials) with researchers from the Duke Clinical Research Institute, published in peer-reviewed journals, and proven to promote clinically significant improvement in key wellness and resilience outcomes, including distress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and self-efficacy.
She has designed training programs for some of the highest performing people on the planet, including Naval Special Warfare Command (Navy SEALs) and the Los Angeles Police Department. Along with programs used in hospitals across the country, in the Duke Cancer Institute, the NIH and others, she has created programs for college, high school, and middle school students.
She divides her time now between a private practice and corporate consulting, bringing resilience to leaders and teams.
With two child away at college, she lives in Palm Beach with her husband, a teenager, and a giant Akita. Learn more about Kristin’s work at www.kristinmacdermott.com.
